    MICHAEL SAMUEL - PARTNER

Michael Samuel is a litigation attorney who has handled a variety of matters, including federal and state overtime and minimum wage claims, personal injury cases, no fault litigation and arbitration, commercial litigation, uninsured/underinsured motorist claims, judgment enforcement, and commercial collections.

Mr. Samuel graduated from Yeshiva University in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science degree and thereafter attended the Touro College, Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center. While at Touro, Mr. Samuel served on the Jewish Law Students Association.

Mr. Samuel began his legal career at Kresch and Kresch in New York City. While there, Mr. Samuel obtained a verdict in excess of $900,000 on his first personal injury jury trial. For most of his tenure at Kresch and Kresch, Mr. Samuel was the managing lawyer responsible for the day-to-day operations of the firm. His primary responsibilities were managing the other attorneys in the firm, appearing in court conferences, intake of new client cases, trying and settling personal injuries cases, generating new clients, taking and defending depositions, arguing motions, and participating in 50(h) hearings. After leaving Kresch and Kresch, Mr. Samuel opened his own firm where he has been practicing for the past 10 years.

Mr. Samuel currently handles class action cases involving workers who have been denied overtime wages and who have not received minimum wage salaries, significant personal injury matters, judgment enforcement, no-fault litigation, commercial collections, consumer debt collection cases, and criminal matters. Mr. Samuel also serves as general counsel to a large commercial corporation. Mr. Samuel served as pro bono counsel to a victim of the September 11 attacks and represented another individual who suffered substantial injuries as a result of the attack. Mr. Samuel applied to the Victims Compensation Fund on his client's behalf, leading to a recovery of $940,000.00.

Mr. Samuel is admitted to practice in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York as well as all the Courts in the State of New York.
